The Baraki Ethos
About Me
Baraki Beads was born from a name that carries both legacy and blessing. Baraki means “Blessed”, a word that echoes through my ancestral lineage, where the Baraki tribe shaped stories, resilience, and reverence for the natural world. This name isn’t just symbolic; it’s a declaration of origin, of continuity, and of sacred inheritance.
I’m Zar-E-Rasoel (Zarrie), the founder and designer behind Baraki Beads. Every piece I create is a fusion of artistry, symbolism, and scientific curiosity. I’m drawn to the emotional and historical resonance of gemstones, their metaphors, their mysteries, and the stories they’ve carried across cultures. But I also hold a firm line: I never advertise metaphysical claims unless they’re backed by known, proven facts.
One stone I work with is shungite, a deep black mineraloid with fascinating potential. Preliminary studies suggest it may help absorb electromagnetic frequencies, which feels especially relevant in our tech-saturated lives. While the research isn’t conclusive yet, I believe that once its properties are fully validated, shungite will resonate with many who are just beginning to explore the intersection of nature and modernity.
Baraki Beads is more than an accessory. It’s a quiet rebellion against mass production, a celebration of ancestral wisdom, and a space where symbolism meets sincerity.
And we are proudly pro-Palestinian. This matters deeply. In a world where silence often protects the powerful, we choose to speak. Our support for Palestine is not a trend, it’s a reflection of our values: justice, dignity, and the right of every people to live free from oppression. As a brand rooted in ancestral pride and ethical storytelling, we believe it’s essential to stand with those whose stories are being erased, whose heritage is under siege, and whose resilience mirrors our own.
To wear Baraki Beads is to wear a piece of resistance, remembrance, and reverence.
My Mission
Baraki Beads exists to honour what’s real, ancestral memory, artistic intuition, and the quiet power of materials that speak without words. I design each piece to feel like a companion: grounded in truth, rich in symbolism, and open to the mysteries we haven’t yet proven. Whether you're drawn to the shimmer of pearls or the quiet gravity of shungite, my hope is that you wear your piece not just as adornment, but as affirmation.
Each item is crafted in the UK, using ethically sourced materials from across the globe: Larvikite from Norway, Shungite from Russia, pearls from China, and more. Every stone is chosen for its integrity, its story, and its ability to carry meaning across borders.
